Default Girls lemonade stand closed by government

Now this is a perfect example of big government getting involved in our lives too much.

in Portland Oregon a 7 year old girls lemonade stand was closed because she did not have the $120.00 permit.

Her mother was just shocked and said she knew nothing about the required permit.

$120 permit to sell 50 cent cups of lemonade is unreasonable. I agree.

BUT, she is getting plenty of press about it.

Well, I'm glad she's off the street **insert extreme sarcasm here**. Who knows what kind of terrible things she might introduce to society. Kindness, fun, friendship, neighbors being neighborly, etc. All kinds of awful stuff! How dare a child try and do something helpful to both herself (learning business, responsibility and social interaction) and the community. Good thing our government is out there lookin' out for us. Now if they could just figure out how to get along with each other................

I think someone was quite overzealous in their duties...

Yet in Virignia it is perfectly legal for registered sex offenders (including child molesters) to go door to door trying to sell landscaping services!

Hey here is a thought for the primary elections... Which political hopeful is going to donate the $120 fee to let this little girl have her lemonade stand?? Betcha he gets elected!
