OK...usually I only get dressed 2 days a week! Church days..hubby does shopping and other errands. Sundays after church my family all gather at Moms for Sunday dinner. This past Sunday the conversation came up about getting dressed every day. Well, I said " I don't get dressed, I wear boxers n t-shirts everyday, no bra, no panties..well u coulda heard a pin drop! My bro. told my DH."huh, I wouldn't put up with Shirley (his wife) not wearing decent clothes" I told him..well could be worse, I could go around naked all day. lol..and Dear Mom ( being the gentile southern lady that she is piped up and said, ''honey your breast are gonna start sagging" 2 late Mom..they already are! Does anyone here NOT get dressed every day?? I hate clothes. I lived most of my life getting up at 5am..putting makeup on and getting dressed for work..no more!! I am officially retired from all that garbage!

I have an entire closet full of clothes and two big shoe racks... and most days you can find me in my old man pj's and a tank top. If I have to eave the house, yes, i will get dressed. But if I do not have to go somewhere... why bother?
Yes, I also own makeup (a ton of it), which I only wear on those rare occasions that I have the energy to go out, or if I am going to a doctors appt that I know is going to be emotionally draining... it keeps me from crying. I would say unless they (the fam) were to find clothes that were more comfortable than your usual, and were willing to buy them all for you, then they have no right to speak of it.

Most days I stay in my nightgown till I go somewhere. That could be out to get the mail or to the store. I get dressed at some point......but it's usually just a t-shirt and shorts or jeans. Especially in this heat...there's just no reason to expend the energy to get dressed up just to stay in the house. But, yes, at some point during the day I do put on clothes, albeit very casual.
It's just me here most of the time. DS still lives here but he is gone 95% of the time. I've stopped wearing makeup unless I'm going out somewhere. My skin is better for it, too. I feel sorry for "Shirley"......her DH sounds like a dinasour. Who appointed him the fashion police?

I wear pull on shorts, and a tank tops most days. no bra, and I like panties, so I wear them. its rare to find shoes on me, and well...if they dont like it, too bad!
If I have an appointment, or errands, i tend to comb my ratty hair, and put on a bra. I am not trying to impress my pharmacist, so I dont care if he doesnt like my shirt. I am all about comfort. if its not wash and dryer ready, then I wont buy it. I almost never iron anything anymore, and I go for quick, and comfy. I used to wear uniforms all day, everyday, and ironing was a requirement. What a load of work! While Scrubs were pretty comfy, it took alot of extra work to keep them crisp and clean. Dont dress for others, dress for yourself.

I get dressed late and into my jammies early. I try to walk over and get the mail every day, which precludes being as "undressed" as I'd like to be. In the winter, when I know I'm not going out and about, I don't always get dressed.

I used to own a dress shop so I have plenty of clothes but the only things I wear now are scrubs for work and pull on pants with a tee shirt for hanging around the house and dog walking on my days off.
Fortunately my DH probably wouldn't even notice if they are clean let alone insist I dress appropriately.

Remember how our grandmothers used to wear housedresses and a fresh apron, every day? I kinda do the same thing except mine are caftans and lounging artists smocks..sans aprons.
I'm dressed but not dressed. Very comfortable and I only wear a bra and pants if expecting someone. Never, never shoes. I'll put on slacks and a nice shirt, with bra and pants, if going to Docs or just out in public. I love not having to be in that rat race anymore.

Me, too, Sal!
All those folks who poo-poo the thought of not getting "dressed up" everyday are just jealous that we get to be comfortable.

I usually am showered and back into my jammies by 6pm. dinner is over, and I am lounging around my house. I see so many folks make dinner plans for 8 or 9pm and it boggles my mind how folks can eat that late.
I like my house. I like my jammies, and since I am not reporting to work, I dont care what the john q public thinks.

In the summer I wear mostly shorts and a t-shirt. That’s also what I wear to bed too, so I’m not sure if I don’t get dressed every day, or I wear my day clothes to bed. To go out or have someone visit, I add a bra, earrings, and flip-flops.
