Default Free admission to the National Parks this Weekend

If you want to enjoy some time in the great outdoors, the National Parks system are waiving the entrance fee's this weekend.

Some of the park are always free, but this weekend alone, ALL the parks are free.

For example, Grand Canyon National Park is $25.00 per car to get in. We may drive up to visit it since I haven't been in 20 years. Depends on how I feel tomorrow. It's a good day trip for us.

Let me know if you go and where you go, take pic's if you can and post them here.

((Not sure why the headline is "Fred admission when I typed "FREE admission. sorry. ))

Maybe they aren't getting any business since the temps are over 100 degrees. I thought I read some where that with SSD you can get free national park admissions. You have to apply for it by showing your SSD papers

Quite right, Doyd, I think I've posted here before that NPS does offer a lifetime pass to the disabled. I'd estimate that it has saved me several hundred bucks over the years!

I am a national parks junky and have been to many of them with no intention of stopping.

There is also a lifetime pass for Seniors age 62 and up. I believe the cost is $10.00. There are also other amenities with it.
