Coming along slowly but surely, thanks. As far as I can tell, the worst is over and I'm trying my darnedest to acclimate to the new area.

I've been trying to get some semblance of order around here and it's slow going as I have to alternate between sitting and moving tasks. I spent the bulk of yesterday arranging my tools into some kind of useful order (???), I've gone from a two-car garage with a bench to a 4' x 3' closet and inventing space is a major challenge. Thank God for hijacked milk crates, I'm mounting them to the upper walls to make shelving, kind of like Legos.

I've finally had a chance to do some big cooking and at least have a pretty full freezer of real food for a change.

My new license arrived yesterday and it was kind of sad, NC did not honor my MI cycle endorsement which I've kept all these years just for sentimental reasons, and because I could never pass that road test again!

Overall, I'm kind of at a standstill until Saturday when some friends will come over and help me move furniture into its final destinations. I'm seriously looking forward to being able to get a recliner, my desk chair is fantastic but a place to relax will be uber nice. My life has shrunk immeasurably, I can't believe that I am excited to get a chair. :o

Thanks for asking, ya'll, I'm plugging away down here in the sticks and seriously missing MI apples.

Glad things are finally settling down for you, Cindy. Maybe you can start enjoying your new scenery.

I'm sorry this has been such a big hassle. As if getting used to a new town, a new state, new everything, wasn't challenging enough. Sounds like you'll have some semblance of normal soon. Hope things bop along more smoothly from here on out!

Glad your life is beginning to have some sense of normalcy -- whatever that is. Moving alone is so stressful, let alone all the hassles and having MS.:(

Just think -- when you're ready for a road trip, you'll be able to branch out in different directions with your new "home base"! Sorry about your cycle license, I want to keep my regular driver's license current just in case. :)

a great comfy recliner sounds like just the ticket.
my chair is the most important piece of furniture i own.

i'm glad things are settling down.

I guess you got a bunch of rain today??
Got a canoe? Should we send RiverWild to rescue you? :)

My question of the day is: Do you ever go back to your first residence in North Carolina, The hotel, to visit the staff you got to know so well? I have been meaning to ask you which one it was to send them each gifts for having to put up with you for so long. :) :) :)
