Thanks, dear Judy, I'm afraid it's actually getting worse! I'll try to be brief, I've checked out and back into the hotel twice since Monday and now I'm at the apartment because I was so completely upset and frustrated by the after-construction "cleaning" those same idiots did, I went ballistic and was simply too exhausted to safely make the drive.

As if this isn't already totally unfreakingbelievable, I went to make tomorrow's coffee only to discover that the sink is leaking all over THE BRAND NEW CABINET. This is where the whole &^%#@#%^&* thing started all those years ago!

It is one month to the day since this nightmare began and I'm sincerely hoping that I don't wake up tomorrow or ever. I've honestly had enough of this life.

Where's my whiskey...

Doesn't all that carp total a lease-breaker? Where is 60 Minutes when you need them...

*passes over the good 12yr old Scotch*

Are you renting, or do you own the house?

If you're renting, can you get out of the lease if the place isnt habitable?

I hope you'll sue the management and all involved. I'm so ticked off for you.

Sorry for all the headaches, Cin. I cannot imagine the stress this is causing for you. I really hope things improve soon. I'd be on my last nerve.

Give us your address and we'll find River and DM and bring Liquorama to Mayberry!

Count me in on this one. I could use a drink. Or two. Or, you could just move over to the next state, VIRGINIA. We probably have about the same weather.:D

Cindy, I'm with woodhaven, come to Virginia! However, we've had rain for the past four days which sure doesn't help mold problems!

I'm so very sorry you are going through so much.:hug::hug:

Woody, Maryann, trust me, I'm on several waiting lists in several states including VA. Accessible apartments in decent locations are so hard to come by, it's not even funny.

As the boomers age, the competition just gets stiffer.

So, since I am in no condition to travel, all ya'll get on down/up/over here and I'll unlock the cabinet. I never drink alone but I admit to being sorely tempted just now.

Guess what! Mr. Kimball/Gomer/Forest/Goober is going to lose his job and we have an actual plumber here now. Still pretty scary and I'm afraid to look at his tool belt.

Here's a going away present for your current plumber.........

What a difference a day (and some serious attitude) can make.

I now have a much less stinky and hopefully mold-free place (pending results of follow-up air tests), a brand new kitchen with all brand new appliances, cabinets and brand new flooring for the kitchen and bathroom on the way.

I'm also getting a brand new front storm door in front because the current one, while just fine, is the kind with a solid pane of glass which puts the anti-swat-me-down gizmo at the top, out of reach. I bang it around so much by accident, I'm scared of breaking it to bits. The new one will have that thingy at knee height with the added bonus of a screened window for maximum flow-through when human weather arrives.

God certainly heard and answered after my all-out tantrum/meltdown yesterday. Now, about that yacht...
