Sad to say, my only "wheels" these days, are the ones on my powerchair. It was a sorry day two years ago last month that I watched my beautiful car go off into the sunset on a car carrier. My friend in Maryland bought it so at least I get up-dates on it!

I had bought new, a 1999 Chrysler 300M which was the Motor Trend Car of the Year THAT year. As life has turned out, it was my one and only big splurge. It was great, all the bells and whistles -- even got a speeding ticket! Today it only has 36,000 miles on it.

Had to give it up when I could no longer get into or out of the car and obviously couldn't move my feet on the pedals. Now it's really an ordeal getting into any vehicle being my legs have so much spasticity. Feels like there's a steel bar up my pantleg so it makes me feel very sorry for whomever is trying to bend them so I can sit normally on the seat. Think I'll keep up my driver's license though since it's good ID....plus I'll be ready when that CURE comes along!!
