Smirk My Live In T he Slow Lane,

Ok, who else is reluctant yet willing to admit, that you are now in the slow lane? I am and for the most part, enjoy it. But, of course, I'm in the I don't give a s**t stage of my life.

Yesterday I had a pity party though. Labor Day weekend has alwayS been a special time in our little city of Kettering. "A Holiday At Home" ....Parades, fairs, bazaars, Bicycle race, Miss HAH Queen...etc...

when the kids were little, we were all a big part of it all. ..When the kids grew and did their own thing with friends, Dh and I partied hardy and did it together....drank, gambled, ate good food with our friends.

I was OK until DSSon called from Virginia to wish me a happy labor day and I heard all the hustle and bustle outside and saw myself and DH doing our thing, I shed a few tears. I talked to John-DH for awhile and then I was OK, because I knew he was and I knew my Kids and Grands were all enjoying the festivities.

Like I said, I enjoy the slow lane......for the most part. How about you? How did you all celebrate the Holiday?
