Default OK, this is a ? from a some what computer illiterate

I have a desk top and a lap top. My Mom does not have internet so anything I show my Mom I guess has to be on my lap tops desk top (if that makes any sense). So I have this flash drive and am trying to take pics from my computer and put it on the flash drive so all I have to do is take the flash drive, put it in my lap top and show them to Mom. I would like to transfer and entire album from my son in laws facebook page. Is there a way I can do this?

I think ??? you can save FB photos to your computer - if the other person has settings that allow it.

Everyone Friends of Friends Friends Only
My status, photos, and posts •

OK just tried a couple of pics by relatives and some did let me save and some did not. So it does have to do with their privacy settings.

find picture
right click on one
and see if "save image as" is in the list that comes up

if it does then select that and save it to a file, folder or in your "My pictures" section/folder.

If there's a lot of them it might be easier for him to put it on a USB / flash drive for you straight from his computer.

Ah ha oK - just tried this...
for a group of pictures
click and hold to highlight/select a bunch of photos and then right click to save the group of them all at one time.

Do you have a thumb drive? They are pretty cheap now, and you can transfer your photos to this thumb drive and carry it in your purse, so you can see them on anyones computer, also you can plug it in at walmart, or walgreens and have a regular paper photo printed out right there for which ever picture you chose.

http://www.target.com/Dane-Elec-Capl...n&frombrowse=0

plug the thumb drive into the USB port on your desktop.
Find the pics you want to save
RIGHT click, and chose SEND TO then pick the letter that matches your thumb drive. If you dont know which letter that is, UNplug the thumb drive and watch that letter disappear. Plug it back in and the letter should reapper.
You can also chose a whole folder. If you have all your favs in a folder, just right click on that folder and send to your thumb drive.

Now when you are at your moms, neighbors, or the photo store, you can just drag out the thumb drive and show anyone your photos. It wont eat up precious space on your hard drive and its nice and portable.

Thumb drives come in many sizes, and many prices, so shop around for a good deal. (notice I didnt use HSN..)

Have fun!
