Default I hurt my Mom today

My Mom had to go to the lab today to get an INR done before an epidurla tomorrow. She has severe debilitating pain with severe immobility now and is having a second epidural to see if it can help with the pain. So I have her in the wh/ch and my DH is pulling the car backwards to where we are. He has a habit of parking right next to the curb. He hates it when people park further oout and take up part of the parking lot or street. Also Mom can't take steps down the nice ramp that is provided. Even that much of an incline is to much pain. But he usually puts the car right there. So I was putting the wh/ch where I thought he should park. Well he didn't see me at all and backs into her!!!! As soon as I see what is happening I pull her back but the back of the car does touch her leg. He, her and myself are all terrified. She is unhurt but it was quite an experience.

I will not pretend to understand your Mom's medical condition or what you wrote. You are very fortunate everyone reacted as they did and just in time. No wonder you'all are shaken up.

Sheesh, Doyd! Glad dear Mom is okay! She must've had an angel there to soften the impact.

Just picturing that makes my heart flutter! Makes me think of a couple of "close calls" in my life that left me shaken and wondering how that EVER could have happened! Time literally seems to stop! Thank God she is all right. Praying that the epidural will relieve her pain.

Default So sorry :(

Doyde, I am so sorry to hear about the mishap. Fortunately, you did react in time to avoid a more serious impact. Just thinking about it makes one shiver. No wonder you were shaken as was everybody, including your mother. It doesn't feel good to have had even a near miss. It is a little hard to forget but you will. Many times we avoid the worst but are shaken nevertheless.

Well my Mom had her epidural last week and it gave her wonderful relief....for 3 days. She says her pain and immobility is worse now than before but I know part of that could be psychological. She sees the pain doctor tomorrow. She still has one more epidural he can do.
