Glad you're prepared for it, Dej. Our snow is still pretty but slowly melting. My backyard is still covered. It won't get out of the 30's here today but the rest of the week looks like it'll be in the 50's.

It looked like MA got alot of winter weather, too. I hope Sox is okay. Ya'll are used to this, though, and have provisions to help you through it all. Us Southerners are like fish out of water in that type of weather!

Still snowing here.
The ride home this morning was fun.
Worked a 12 hour shift, shoveled all night, went and picked up the slackers who said they couldn't drive to work (SURPRISE, I'm coming to GET YOU!)

Not plowed when I got home, I just rammed the old TownCar through the drifts and got her out of the way of my plow guy. He finally came an hour ago, said he's been flat out all day and apologized. Said he knew I would get in or call. Of course he buried the cars that we had shoveled out by then, but he chained up and pulled them free and plowed the space, so I get to drive through it again to go to work.

Never lost power but everything was ready. We are warm and dry and well stocked. Winter in New England...Feel bad for all of the folks on the southern Atlantic coast, must be like apocalypse down there in some spots with 30 inches or better!

Hey River, have you heard anything from AMN? Poor thing.....she escaped the winters of the Midwest only to get dumped on in NC!

Well, somehow our little city escaped the big snow. Only about 8
inches of snow but other neighboring towns had up to 2 feet. Its
the wind that is crazy...its so cold.

the weirdest thing is the snow is mostly gone in some spots..it
blew away but to where I dont know.

Im glad everyone is safe and sound.

Funny weather Christmas for us. We were in the Shenandoah Valley of western Virginia for a family Christmas. It snowed with a dusting, very pretty, only in the morning. At home in Richmond, VA they had 3" and my niece and nephew in Virginia Beach had 12+". Go figure?

It was nice that so many people in such a large geographical area got to experience a white Christmas of some sort.

Sally,

All the snow is just about gone and never was a real problem on the streets on the west side of the river and I95. Your son will have no problems returning at all.

my section of the world (Va Beach) got 14 1/2 inches according to our yardstick. Drifts much taller. Melting now but it was fun, even if everything had to come to a screeching halt for a few days.

After all, we use our few plows to push sand off of the boardwalk and back onto the beach LOL Several kids in my neighborhood were enthralled but a bit timid at all of it (this yankee had to teach them the art of a well packed snowball and snowman construction 101)
