Default I need a hug. come lie to me

ok, its been a string of bad weeks.

Sick cat, MS flare, Visual issues, horrible family, im lonely, DH is making me crazy...im feeling quite sorry for myself so, come sit down next to me and hug me. Lie if you must.

Tell me something good that happened to you today. Make it a whopper if you cant think of something true.

Tell your DH that I said to "shut up and just sit there and hold you and let you just do whatever".

DD is home. I was having major spasms that hike my leg into the air. She is going to start school to become a massage therapist.

She grabbed hold of my foot and began to massage, to stretch the muscles.

it felt good.

Dej? Do you like baths? I used to take baths a long time ago. All those wonderful scents in the water.

Did you take baths? Take a minute and remember how they felt.

Or have you ever gone for a massage? Remember how relaxed it feels to have warms hands erasing tension?

Pull down your shoulders from your ears. Even for just a moment, relax.

I don't know if you like cute things that little kids say but I think that anything, well almost anything, my grand kids say is cute. Anyway, my 4 year old grand daughter said that green beans are like swords only round. They are like catepillars turning into beautifull buterflies.

TYVM! I needed that.

Jack is by far my largest stressor right now. I had the 5th vet call last night to tell me that there are support groups for owners of cats with his condition. it can be quite miserable, but it shared some tips.

Remember morgan? the 23 y/o? well it appears that she was acting as the momma cat of the house. she was grooming the babies and sending out a scent that says "all is well, calm down" and she kept the house going. When she went blind/deaf she started to panic which made the young ones panic and that started the circle (according to last nights vet) I was impressed this vet checked the records for a recent pet death. it is true that the same time morgan went down hill so did Jack and Lily became quite needy but didnt get sick. They reccomend a cat pheromone treatment. There are plug in ones like an air freshener, and a spray and even a cat collar soaked in it so the cat takes it with him. He promised if I use that product I will see a large change in Jack. So...I whipped out my credit card and ordered stuff and even paid extra for overnight shipping.

So, maybe Jack is stressing me, which stresses him, which stresses me?? i dunno anymore.

Thanks for the hugs.

Dej, my vet suggested the cat pheromone, too, when I brought Panda into the mix. I bought a small spray bottle of it from the vet and sprayed it all over the place. Where they eat, sleep, around the baseboards and their perches. It seemed to sort of work....I really couldn't tell because Gracie was so "hissy". It might work well for you, though, since you don't have the "new cat stressor" working against you. I hope it brings some relief.

Dearest Dej,

Rest assured I am always here for you 24/7 to provide that which you desire the most, acknowledgement, recognized accomplishment and undivided attention while listening to whatever you desire to share. All nonjudgementally and with no advice unless requested.

I can't fix everything but I can actively listen. Then, after you pour me another cup of coffee, give you a big hug with sincerity.

Your friend and supporter,

I whipped out the pheromone spray and got a new toy for Jack and one for Lily. I wanted to spray the new toy so it wasnt any old smell lingering in it, and in case it was horrible I wasnt going to spend all day washing linens.

The initial spray was a perfumy spray and had a heavy alcohol scent to it. I gave it several minutes to release that and then tucked the toy in the same bed as tense old Jack. He at first squinted his eyes and reared back his head as if it was the most horrible stink in the world. I didnt put it next to him, just in the same bed. After a minute lily appeared with her sniffer out. She was doing that kneading motion on the furry blanket she was standing on.

As time passed I inched it closer and closer to his face. by the time I got it to his chest he was purring and making a kneading motion. He seemed quite sleepy and peaceful. I have left him in the sun to bake. I am going to spray his favorite beds and lets see if I can keep his scaredy cat bum calmer.

I really do think relieving the stress of a constantly very ill animal will help. It will make DH relax and if I am not constantly on edge trying to figure out whats up with him, maybe I can nap.

Thanks for all the support.
