Got 10" of snow today. Schools will be closed tomorrow (some were already closed today). Some church offices and local businesses were closed. Local media were advising everyone to stay home.
But, ya know what we did?! My husband "likes to drive the 4WD pick-up in the snow". So, we went to Pizza Hut to eat. For awhile, we were the only customers in the restaurant. Sometimes, there were two other people at another table. After supper, he drove his pick-up out on the highways, looking for poor souls who needed help getting pulled outta the ditch. Why, you ask? It's a guy thing -- it's the testosterone. (Grunt, grunt!) ~ Faith

Faith,
I'd be right there with you but for a few minor details.
When I was a police officer we would get a few squad cars together early on a snowy morning and cut loose in the mall parking lots. OK! I didn't just admit to that..........never mind.

My son never told me he used to do that, either! Hey, they gotta have some fun. It's a rough job.

My husband used to use the "excuse" of needing to teach the kids how to drive on ice to take the kids out on the parking lot and let them do that! (My daughter drives on ice better than I do now.)
And, Craig -- Can't blame ya for the first 3. But, ya don't like Pizza Hut? Now, that's just not right! ~ Faith

I used to take DS and DD out to the parking lots filled with snow to force them to learn how to handle snow and ice. I would make them force the car into a slide so they knew how it felt and knew what to do. When the real thing hit, both said they were not upset, because they had felt it before in fun times, and it was just fine.
Silly cops!
