Default THE Wager

Ok. So I have a wager with a friend of mine that began an hour ago.

I LOVE my iPhone. To say it's the greatest invention since the car is an understatement. One of the things I LOVE about it is the ability to video chat over FaceTime and Skype. It's amazing and wonderful to video chat with friends and relative around the world. It brings us all together.

WELL, one of my good friends lives 45 miles away (we lived 2 miles apart before we moved). I miss having weekly lunches with him and his GF. We also used to play games, etc. Well....he is VERY CHEAP!. He would not spend a dime or penny unless he is pushed. He challenged me to a bet and I took it.

He will get an iPhone 4 and will be able to video chat with me IF I shave my beard completely and keep it that way for 30 days!. I haven't shaved in over 13 years. In the summer I go to a van dyke, but NEVER in 13 years have I taken the chin hair or mustache off.

WELL, about an hour ago I went from a beard to clean shaven. I think my face looks fat. I don't like it and am hoping this month goes by fast. Then, I can grow it back while I meet him at the AT+T store to pick up his brand new fancy iPhone.

Kinda dumb, kinda childish, but still fun. He also suggested I post pic's on my FB to see what my friends think. If you are a friend on FB, please let me know, pic's are posted.

Sorry, Earl, but I like you clean shaven.

Earl, you look 20 years younger without the beard! I vote to keep it OFF! Just think......less maintenance and much cooler in the summertime. I think you look mahvelous, dahling!

Sally and Kitty, you are NOT helping. Thank goodness Laura does not check this site, she is absolutely giddy. She does NOT like the beard. I still think my face looks fat.

I have very sensitive skin so shaving is not something that I like, as a matter of fact it hurts. So, yeah, I will be growing it back in 30 days. I will probably go to a van dyke again, it's how I wear it in the hot AZ summers.

I appreciate the complement, but just don't like it.

Sorry, Earl.....but I have to side with Laura on this one.

Have you ever thought about laser hair removal? It's expensive, I know.

But....if you like the facial hair and don't like shaving then I guess there's no question. The van dyke will reappear! I like the van dyke type beard. My DH had one. I remember he shaved it off once and I hated it! He looked totally different and it was very weird for me. He grew his back, too.
