Default Charlie Sheen

I cringe every time I see an interview with him and wish the media would have some compassion and save him from himself. I don't think it takes a professional to recognize the signs of mental illness he is exhibiting. The man is grandiose and delusional. The drug test he did on television sealed the deal for me.

When I get a patient from the ER who has been committed based on unsafe/irrational behaviors if their tox screen is negative that often points to a serious mental illness.

My heart breaks for his children, co workers and anyone else close to him watching this train wreck happen. I absolutely can not believe he is allowed to care for his twin boys in this condition. Where the hell is their mother?

Jules, I agree 100% with you. I was watching some show that was doing an interview with him and he lives with TWO women who claim to be his girlfriends! And they showed them with his twin boys! I believe all three of them have issues. And what those two little boys are living in is beyond me. Their mother, Brooke Mueller, was hospitalized I believe with some mental health issues of her own.

At first I thought he was just trying to get attention for publicity but after seeing him in the last few interviews I believe he is in desperate trouble.

It's kind of like watching a train wreck in slow motion, isnt it?

The media really needs to stop doing interviews with him. Or, if they do them, they need to either not actually record the interviews, or delete the footage when they're finished. Sheen is apparently not sane right now, and I'm actually starting to get a little embarrassed for him whenever I watch any footage of him lately. I have to think how embarrassing it is to his family (kids, ex-wives, his parents and siblings)

On Two and a Half Men last night, knowing what we know now, you can look at him and see there was something wrong with him when they were filming the episode. (altho, the story line involving the brother's character last night was a lot more disturbing to watch)

I used to like the show, but the writing has been going downhill lately, and whatever they're doing with the brother's character...not appealing to me at all in the last few new episodes that I'd seen. Sheen was actually doing pretty good last season. It's been this season where the show got really bad, and I'm not all sure that it was the illegal drugs that Sheen has been putting up his nose. Been wondering lately if he was sharing some of his stash with the writers.

If they want the show to continue, they could explain that Charlie got shipped off to a rehab center, and let the brother's character take over the house. Or they could bring in Emilio Estevez (Sheen's older brother) as a "cousin" that's taking care of the house.

Or, do what they do in soap operas. I've watched enough soap operas where they replace the actors and when the first scene with the new actor starts they do a voice over that says 'The part of "character" is now being played by "actor/actress name"...' They could have a "guest" actor every week to play the character of Charlie. (they better get some new writers at the same time if they did that)

It's probably better to let the show die, and give the other actors/actresses and crew that did Two and a Half Men a new show to work on. Those people probably deserve brand new jobs after getting screwed out of the one they have because Charlie Sheen couldnt keep the white powder out of his nose.

Erin you have great ideas for saving the series.

I also kind of thought the series was going down hill but figured it had just run its course. Very sad on so many levels.

The show has been on since 2003, and the "half" part of the men is now grown up. I'm pretty sure he's probably about 18yrs old now. (just checked, he was born in 93)

It was bound to end sooner or later.

I actually like the show that's on after 2.5 Men. The show Mike & Molly is pretty funny. Maybe now that show will have a chance, along with the shows that lead into 2.5 Men.

Plus, Hawaii 5-0 is the show I really love to watch on Mondays anyways.

It wouldnt bother me if 2.5 Men doesnt come back next year. All they've done is stop production on the last 8 episodes of 2.5 Men. The way Sheen is acting, the production company is well within their rights to not bring it back. It was funny when it started. Sad now tho.

I haven't watched the show in a long time. I don't tape shows anymore and just watch the show I like best, at the time it's on. I do enjoy the reruns, though.

Martin Sheen is from my hometown and went to high school with my older brother. His family lived up the street from us (he was already in Hollywood, by this time)and one of his nephews mowed our lawn.

Charlie is one sick puppy and it is so sad watching him suffer and his family suffer. From what I've heard, his father had a drinking problem, so wasn't the best of role models, either. He has been interviewed and admits that his son has a illness. Martin is a few years older than me, but, egads, he looks like he's ninety, these days.

I can only pray for them now and....sheesh, Charlie....shut up!!

I agree he has serious pschological problems which run very deep. I do wish his "handlers," if he still has anyone even close to him anymore, would get him out of the public eye. I fault the media for literally parading him on their shows knowing what a tragic ratings boost he is right now. The sad part is he is not even aware he is being exploited as he further destroys his own career. One person termed him as a radioactive actor now.

In a way it almost seems that the media is inflicting Charlie's mental illness upon us all. On the other hand, perhaps someone out there will listen to him spew and realize how nuts he is behaving, and find help for themselves or someone they love.

I guess every cloud can potentially have a silver lining.

his ex wife saw all the shows with "prostitutes" raising her twins while in their fathers care, and she had social services remove them from his care last night. She also stated that he is clearly suffering from some sort of mental incapcity and need evaluation before he can be in charge of himself, let alone babies. I guess they all agreed, because his kids were removed last night.

I did not watch his interview last night, and probably wont as he is rambling, and manic and clearly in need of IN patient care some place. I dont care how many women he has living with him, or what they did in their past, present, or future but when he is bug eyes, wild expressioned and clearly not rested someone needs to help him!

I hope they dont sweep him away from his own show, but sweep in and get him some help to rescue him. Throw this drowning man a rope please.
