Default scrapbooking

My Mom did scrap books for all the great grand kids and my 9 year old grand daughter loves to look at hers. She also made a diary with some idea pages for her to start. Trinity never thought anything about it until after Mom died. The other day she called me (long distance) and asked me who was going to continue making pages. I had already told her about journaling while Mom was in hospice and she told me she already had some ideas for her diary. So, I need ideas on what books are best for helping her long distance, what good books for 9 year olds to learn from, etc.
