Default OMG the phone just wont stop ringing!

what part of I need a ME day dont folks get? its like the universe waited for DH to walk out the door this morning, and then...let the ringing begin!

One friend of his called 8 times! 8! He left ONE message about the medical MJ law that is currently in our senate, and prattled on about other stuff, but on the 8th time I picked up the phone and said "WHAT?! What could you possibly want to call here 8 times?!" He seemed floored that I bit him. He was at work, bored, and was looking to waste time. I told him that cell phones were FORBIDDEN where he works, and there is a good reason for it. Go watch the inmates! I am trying to nap, and everytime I nod off...brrrrrrring! He then tried to engage ME in chat! OMG!

Skype has rung with relatives from Italy several times.
The phone has rung with everyone of DHs bro/sis'
The doorbell rang 2x with some kid selling something.
Several 1-800 phone number calls.
My sis tried calling 3 times.
Both my bro's tired calling, but didnt leave a message.
My mom called, no message.
Church ladies called wanting me to help do something.
local lady called to talk about other local lady
neighbor called to ask for help.
other neighbor called to talk about first neighbor needing help.

The ONE phone call I want is someone to buy my camper that is on craigslist, and wouldnt ya know it, no one wants to call for that reason.

Gawd, Im such a grouch!

What is so hard to understand about a message machine? When the beep is heard, tell me what you want. If its important I will call you back NOW. If not, I will finish my nap and find you later. It seems the universe has not grasped this concept in my neck of the woods today.

And yes, I would love to unplug the phone but DH is out in the woods with a buddy scouting out some properties, and its Bear season around here, so I need to know if he is in trouble.

*puts away soap box* rant over.

Ever have a day when folks wouldnt leave you alone?

You need a separate number that your husband can use to reach you but nobody else knows. A tracfone? Another line? I don't know the technology, but there must be some out there.

I agree with B2Y. Just unplug or turn off the ringer on the other phone. They'll get the message.....

we have our ringer set for 2 rings only & low volume , either they leave a message which we can hear & screen -and pick up if it's someone we want to talk to.. or they just hang up.

but we also paid to have our # unlisted as well as the don't call list, and we just don't give it out much at all.

You might be able to set up or get a special ring tone for family & friends...
