Default What a week!

MIL went home today. DH and his BFF took her back. They are staying overnight to go fishing today and tomorrow in some old favorte spots down there. Mama was so happy to be here. Funny and sweet, and easy to please. I think she was happy to be headed for home, but she had a blast here. Only a few tense moments like...

mama turns off lights when she leaves rooms, and left me in the dark chopping veggies on my veggie slicer, so I almost hacked off my thumb. Eeek! I managed to put the peices together, and its healing well, but OUCH!

Got my trike finally after a few delays, and its all put together, but i am too tired to go riding. I got up way too early each day, and went to bed way to late each night, and did way too many things in between, but it was worth the price to keep mama happy for one week.

Watched the royal wedding at 6am in our PJs and fancy hats. That was fun.

DH was starting to become a spoiled baby and I reached the point of almost allowing mama to spank him. he was over tired as well, and worked hard to make sure mama got taken care of.

The language barrier was an issue sometimes, but it was ok in the end. I understood enough of her english, and she understood enough of my italian that we made due, but its mentally exhausting to work so hard at language when your head is full of swiss cheese.

So, thanks for letting me share my week. What did the rest of you do?
