Default I know this sounds trite....but.......

Can you please fit in one more prayer???
My daughters cat "Oscar" has been missing since last Friday. She is absolutely frantic as he is so dear to her.

She is getting married May 21 and with all the stress, it has really taken a toll on her. The advice has been to go out searching late at night because that is when frightened in-door cats will come out of hiding.
So here she is at midnight to 2 a.m. with flashlight in hand searching. She's exhausted and very, very sad.

I know it sounds so trivial, but could you just please say a prayer that Sarah finds her cat, Oscar?
I know this sounds trite....but.......-oscar-jpg She has put an ad in 2 papers and put out a couple hundred fliers with a reward! She lives in Colorado and I live in Michigan and I feel so bad I could not help in the search.....so I'm hoping a few extra prayers may help..........Thank You so much

It's not trite at all! Losing a pet is stressful. They become like our children.

I will keep your DD in my prayers and hope that she finds her little sweetie soon.

Of course I'll pray. (And then go hug my cats)

Absolutely I will pray for Oscar and your DD, too! Bless her heart.....I cannot imagine how frantic I'd be if one of mine got out. She's doing all she can. At least it's not the middle of winter. Has she checked with local vets and rescue groups? And the animal shelter? I'm not sure if this is doable for her but if she can put one of his toys or some of his bedding outside he might pick up the scent and come looking for it.

Please keep us updated and let us know when she finds him....or he finds her!

I always have prayers left for our critters! In the past when my inside cat was lost it took him a couple of days to come out hiding and was found by a neighbor who called me because I had put out flyers. In my area the local animal shelter is pretty lame so instead of calling I went to check for myself. Please come home Oscar, Mama is worried.

me and the cats are praying.

Let me tell you that I have an ipod touch. they have an app called the Cat Piano. I tap on a piano key and its a cats meow. touch another key, tis a different cat. My cats CANT resist this! they both come wandering out to find out where this other cat is, and then stand there cleaning each other. both very curious to get to this other cat. Can you try some trick like that? I also have song birds that sound like a bird in a tree, and both will come out of hiding to find whatever bird they think is in the house.

Good luck to DD on the upcoming.

me and my 5 cats are praying for a speedy return of Oscar

Print up fliers with photo, post Lot Pet in paper/petfinder/craigs list (only with cell number and a new email addy- to help filter out creeps), go to shelter (don't just call them), put up fliers at local gas station/vets/grocery etc. Also, put out favrite food and call for him during daylight hours too. {Some cats hide at night and are lost/out of their element}

One tip that always has worked for me: gahter up the local kids and tell them cash reward to whoever finds your cat first. $50 will motivate just about any preteeen kid to search till the cows come home
*note: I tell parents I am doing this so they know I am not a weirdo

praying for Oscar's safe return..

I saw a poster for a lost cat this morning, and thought about how difficult it must be to lose a cat who lives indoors...the only thing I think would help would be a chip...but if someone finds it and adores it, I figured it would be lost forever I honestly don't think I could handle something like that...
