Default feel kind of awful tonight

I am a procrastinist and also have a bad tooth so you know what that means. I have a really bad tooth now, it's a holiday weekend and can't call a dentist until Tuesday. I would imagine it's a root problem since I can't drink or eat anything cold. I have been drinking tap water for several days now it hurts so bad. Plus since my DH retired Dec 1, 09 we haven't had dental insurance. So my mouth hurts and my wallet is going to hurt. It's almost 9 PM and I'm ready to go to bed. I wish I had something stronger than a Tylenol. This might be reason enough to take an extra Tegretol which acts the same as a sleeping pill with me.

Can you get some clove oil? the fresh oil is better than crushing your own cloves, but if you cant get to a store than take the cloves (the ones you stick in a ham) and put them in like a small peice of cheesecloth CRUSH them. smash into the tiniest bits you can find, and then tie the cloth into a tiny little package, or fold it into a tiny square. dip it into water, and bite down on it. GENTLY!

Most drug stores now carry clove oil. Ask the pharmacist. Its become quite popular again. Stick a qtip in the bottle and then GENTLY bite down over the affected tooth. its a natural anesthetic and will help kill alot of the pain.

They also sell oral gel severe pain formula if you want something commericial.

I hope you feel better. tooth aches are horrible.

I hope you're still hanging in there! I never had a toothache until I was about 40 years old...I had always secretly thought people were sissies for making such a big deal out of a toothache, for heaven's sake...then I actually HAD one. Holy cow. Praying for you!

Still going on. We went out to an expensive place for diner last night with DD and ordered a gourmet pizza, couldn't eat it so ordered macaroni and cheese. I'm tired of eating soft things. I want some ice cream. It's hot out there which calls for ice cream. Yes, I'll be on the phone first thing in the morning
