I love statistics and anytime I see one, it captures my eye and I read it. So, I thought it would be a fun thread to share statistics that we see or read. Please, keep them positive and fun as we are constantly bombarded with negative and very little positive. So, let's keep it positive and fun.
Only 30% of us can flare our nostrils. (Bet you all just tried that after reading it.) I saw this today and it really made me think . . . "Children laugh about 400 times a day, while adults laugh on average only 15 times a day." I need to start laughing WAY more. |

Based on Hallmark' s number, Valentine's Day is the 2nd biggest card-giving holiday of the year after Christmas. Apparently, DBF and I missed the boat on that one. We don't do Valentine's Day cards. Just a simple but nice dinner.
Here is an small-size survey conducted in eight coffee shops in the Boston area. Researchers want to know how long it took men and women to be served. The results: men get their coffee 20 seconds earlier than women. |

I thought this was an interesting statistic. If so many people live north of the equator wouldn't more people have MS based on demographics? Just made me think.
Over 88% of the world's population lives north of the equator. |
