Default My Perfectly Perfect Day

Yesterday was my perfectly perfect day. My best friend offered to take eldest DD to the local amusement park and youngest DD was at her dads for the weekend. This was my first kid free day since the end of May! I am so happy to have a great friend who will help me out on things I cannot do, like take DD to amusement park. They had an awesome time. Youngest DD is at the very same park today with her dad.

Soooooo, DH2B was working, I had no kids, and a whole day off. I decided to pack up the car, head to the lake and spend the day fishing and enjoying nature. It was amazing. I only caught a few little fish and made friends with a couple of ducks, but it was just me and it was great!

I had to wait for about 20 minutes to get my minnows and the salesman decided to throw in an extra dozen or so because I was the only customer not throwing a fit about waiting in line.

After a long day of fishing, DH2B managed to get off of work early and called to ask if I wanted to have dinner. Since I was covered in bug spray and sunscreen and mud and blood, I offered to pick up dinner if he agreed to drive thru food. Came home, had dinner and a shower, hung out with DH2B the first time we have been alone in months.

Then I drove to best friends house (45 miles away) to pick up DD. Best friend called me on the way to tell me her and DD have decided to watch a movie and asked if I wanted to join them. SO I stopped at the store on the way and surprised them with Ice Cream Sundae stuff.

We hung out, had ice cream, watched a movie and DD and I didn't get home until 2:00 in the morning.

Today I pay. I twisted my bum ankle and went down yesterday and busted my knee in the process. Today it looks like a baseball has replaced my ankle. I am sunburned (even though I used SPF50 every hour plus my beach umbrella for shade) and my everything hurts. However I have had this disease long enough to know that for each day I play I have to set aside another day for paying. My mom is picking up youngest DD from her dad and she is spending the night. Eldest DD is just as tired and sore as I am today so she is bumming on the couch and perfectly content with not doing anything.

So yes, I had a perfectly perfect day off.

I don't get those very often so I figured I would share.

It brought a smile to my face reading this. You have had so many stressful days lately, so many little irritating conflicts in your life, and none of us could do anything to help but listen and pray for you. Your perfectly perfect day sounded... well... Perfect!!! You deserved a good day and you got one.
