its hotter in NH at my house than it is at Kitty's in GA. thats just nuts!

I think that temp reading is because of a thunderstorm down south of me. My thermometer outside still reads 96 degrees!

Welcome to Texas! Enjoy your stay!

Its been over 95 for the high nearly every day since the beginning of June here. We had our hottest June ever and are currently working on one of the top 3 hottest July's ever. I have never wished I had a swimming pool more than I have the last couple of months.

I am planning to do a 55 mile bike ride this weekend and I am not sure how I will deal with the heat (predicted to be around 98F). I guess I will just have to drink alot of water and try to finish early. I went out last wednesday after work to try to do some outdoor riding to get acclimated to the heat and it rained during the afternoon, so it cooled down about 10-15 degrees. By the time it dried out enough to ride, we only had time to do about 14 miles. I am going out again tomorrow night, so we will see how it goes.

We're just hitting 100 today. Yuck!!! But that is cooler than it has been. To me, anything over 80 is hot.:D

They sound nice but they get hot, too. I remember our pool was like a tepid bath by July.

I remember my son emptying the ice cube trays into the pool trying to cool it off! He was only about 8 or 9 at the time. :D Needless to say, it didn't work.

94 degrees here with a heat index of 104. 64% humidity. It is actually better today than it was yesterday.;) We are under a severe thunderstorm watch. It looks like the temps are going to fall into the 80s starting tomorrow.

I'm really trying not to complain after reading these posts! Holy cow! My face gets flushed just reading those temperatures! You probably don't want to hear that tomorrow night it could be in the upper 40's here...

However, right this moment it's too muggy in here to use the hair dryer, so now I look like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Whooo sweet relief and sweet summer rain! its amazing what that does for the temps. We are headed to a cool front and I for one am glad of it! The heat simply bowls me over. I go blind, get nausea, and dizzy. I need to be able to take DH to his colonoscopy on Friday and for that I need vision! He can drive us there, but I have to drive us home. I cant do it in the heat. I would have to count on a neighbor.

Im grabbing my cat and going to bed!

Kelly, we hit 94 this afternoon with a heat index of 112! A thunderstorm rolled through and the temps dropped 10 degrees.

Tomorrow will probably be a repeat. Love summer storms, but not ones where lightening gets so intense! and close!!

its still quite humid here this morn, but I am told that a cool front is breezing on over and that will fix things. Thank Goodness! I am not good at heat.
