Default Another reason to be unhappy with the NMSS...grrr

I am not totally slamming the NMSS but they are really lacking in some essential programs, imo.

We all know how much money they get in donations. Heck, they still call me an I have MS. They call my family weekly.

Here's my gripe, well two actually:

They don't seem to have any programs to help MSers that live an isolated life like many of us do. So many of us could use some help in that department.

Today I did a search on the national site about domestic abuse. I could find only one chapter that had a program in place to help. Abuse of the disabled is a very common thing .

Why oh why don't they help with some of the HUGE issues many of us are facing??

Sorry to rant, but this disgusts me.

You need to come back here to Pittsburgh. The NMSS here is very good and there is the MS Service Society (MSSS), they have lots of services including Home Care Nursing. They sponsor our Wed Lunch Group, meet at the VFW on 51 in Brentwood. Great group of people, always welcome new people.

Thanks, Bill . Western PA is the only chapter with services for people in abusive situations.
