When I hear Sara Mcglauglan (butchered the spelling) I RUN for the remote! I dont want to see any more abused animals. STOP! I dont want to see burned, broken, butchered or battered animals at 10am! I dont want children who are watching cartoons or the sitting with grandma while she watches Ellen to see it either! OMG stop! or make it after 10pm. its too graphic.

We will be watching a movie, and the commercial comes on and WOW! THAT IS LOUD! HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS? Why cant I turn on the movie, lay down the remote and just watch the movie? why do I have to hold the clicker as if its my life line?

On the other end of the spectrum, there is a commercial for a furniture store in Burlington that features the owner and his son. They started it a few years ago when the son was quite little, and at the end they dub in a deep man's voice saying "low prices" while the kid lip-syncs the words. A gimmick, sure, but cute enough and not over the top.

Other than that little gimmick, it's just a man (and his now teenage son) speaking in a professional way, promoting their product. No bobble-heads, no screaming, no stupid or off-color stuff.

I sent them an email and told them that I appreciated a "classy" ad like theirs. If I lived near Burlington, I would go to their store FIRST just because of the commercial. There are places I would boycott BECAUSE of their commercials.

I dive for the remote when the Humane Society or ASPCA commercials come on. And if I can't find the remote I put my fingers in my ears and say "la la la la la la la" till I am either out of earshot or the commercial goes off.

NO KIDDING! Last time I asked that very same question, the answer I got was that there's a certain spectrum of allowed decibal range for any broadcast. There are natural highs and lows in a 'normal' soundtrack that includes conversation, laughter, car chase, scary music, whatever....
BUT, in a commercial, the creators of those soundtracks make sure every single bit of sound is maxed out so you'll be sure not to escape a second of the advertisement....

I thought Congress had passed a law that they had to tone down the audio on commercials, but I haven't heard it occur yet...

Now, if only we could eliminate political ads. I don't agree with the Supreme Court that states they have a free speech right to be able to advertise those pac ads. Why should they have the right, when cigarette company ads aren't allowed? where's their free speech?

Those get out the vote ads for each candidate make me crazy! I live in NH and we are first in the nation for primaries, and we take that very seriously! Its amazing to me how many ads are out year round for one candidate or another. ALL BAD! This guy is a bad guy! this guy eats puppies, and smacks little children! its awful.

Congress did say that commericials cannot be louder, than the loudest part of the movie its mixed into. So, if you are watching a loud action flick you are going to get LOUD commercials. if you are watching a softer chick flick you are going to get less noise in the commercial but they WILL crank it up to the loudest decibel possible.

WHAT????! I CANT HEAR YOU!!!

Somebody needs to invent a remote that automatically mutes any commercial that comes on. I'd buy one!
