Default I woke up to 95 degrees.

So once again the AC compressor locked up on me. The guys have come out twice to fix it. I woke up about 3 hours ago thinking I was getting sick and must me running a fever. Then I woke up at 6 sweating to death. Got up and realized it's not me. The thermostat that is set at 70 is reading 95 degrees!! And it's only 75 outside right now. ugh. It's going to be a long day. I am giving them until I leave to go get DD to send the guy again or I am going to force that Virginia law and make them pay for a hotel. It is medically necessary that I have functioning AC and it is included in the rental agreement.

My friend who has rental properties looked up the laws for a couple of the things I have been complaining about such as the AC and the locks not working on my garage and back door. Looks like I am right and they have to fix it.

So yeah, I am hot. And grumpy. Blah!

Good morning!

My heart dropped into my tummy, when you said that!! 95 in the house? When my A/C went on the fritz, my house temp got up to 80 and that would have been enough to send me to the hospital.

If it had been 95, I probably would have stayed asleep..Permanently!! It was 95 outside but I kept the furn. fan on high.

Sure hope your AC was fixed, leggs. It's bad up here in NE PA, so it must be horrible where you are. Reminds me of two weeks ago when I finally had a new toilet installed, higher, being my old throne kept flushing itself. The plumber they sent to install the new was the same one who tried to fix the old....without success. After a night of this new one "flushing" like the old, I called the company and asked if they new "where I could find a good plumber"? A different guy was here within the hour and no more unwanted flushes!

That "squeaky wheel" thing really works. Good luck!

DH2B got home last night (finally). After his truck broke down in KY and a horrible trip each way, he was not in the mood to hear about the idiot repair guys again. First time the guy was here he couldn't find a prob.

Second time he tells me the unit was installed incorrectly and he needed to order the correct part. A month later, I called again to ask if they were ever going to come install the part. Then he shows up with no call or warning which ruined my day but I rearranged my schedule so it could be fixed. And come to find out...guess who installed the unit in the first place! Now this.

He tried to tell me it was the filter that needed to be replaced. HA HA the filter I just replaced 2 weeks ago. Again he cannot find the problem.

Sooooo, Dh2b has decided next time we are going to call a real repairman and we will just send the bill in with the money we will withhold for the rent since the rental co cannot send a competent tech out to fix it.

It's really sad that in this country at this time, we're paying an arm and a leg for services only to have them done half--a#^ed.
