Default OK, MOST ANNOYING MS problem yet- YIKES!!

I know I'm in AZ, and I in my mid 40's, but do guy's get menopause? I swear I am going through it.

For the past 3 days or so I have had INTENSE fluctuations in my body temp. I can't regulate it. One minute I am bundled in a blanket in my house and the next minute I am tearing it off sweating, then minutes later I am freezing cold again, I put on some slightly heavier slacks and then too hot, I mean DRIPPING in sweat, within a matter of seconds.

I have doctor appointment Friday but frankly, I can't hold out.

Has anyone (other than menopausal women) had this problem? DARN IT!

I have heard of other MSers complaining of the same thing. I too have trouble regulating my body temperature. Like you I go through periods where I am cold and then hot. Of course, it's been so dang hot and humid that I haven't experienced it as much lately. And, we have an evap cooler which is not working well for this time of year. But, the change in humidity (going up or down) can make you feel colder or hotter.

My temperature regulator must be broken. And, for obvious reasons, I can't order a replacement part.

Let us know how it goes at the dr.

BTW - I'm not menopausal either.

I hear ya Earl. I went thru a period of that and I'wasn't MP at the time either. It seems like I haven't had that sx since starting on LDN over 7 yrs ago.

I hope the Doc has some answers for you. Ask him/her about trying LDN. Hey, it may help?

Hey Sal, are those LDN folks paying you? If they're not they should be, ROFL and just kidding !

Sorry Earl, I could be menopausal although my doctor says I'm not. I definitely have problems with my internal thermostat. Hot, cold, hot cold. It is maddening.

Hi Earl,

There is such a thing as male menopause:

You might consider making an appointment with your PCP to discuss your symptom and if there is another reason for them other than MS.

I do that. its 90 degrees and I am freezing or its 30 and I am sweating. its weird! I can be bundled under a blanket, a comforter and in a warm room and my skin will be freezing cold!

I hate this stupid disease.
