Thumbs down Hotter than H*E*Double-Hockey-Sticks!

I'm beginning to think I've accidentally moved to Death Valley. Seriously. It's been over 100 every day for over a month. Then it started getting hotter. Wednesday was the worst - when I dropped my kids off at sports camp at 10:00, it was 105. When I picked them up around 4:00 we went to get a snocone and it was [B]115! I hadn't been able to get and for groceries and we were out of everything. At 9:00 Wednesday night, it had "cooled off" to 108, and ya know? It actually felt kinda nice when I ventured out.

We've had records set all over this part of Arkansas. If it would cool off enough to go outside, the kids and I would do a rain dance or something! This is just beyond ridiculous.

I guess you don't want to know that it was only 68F today where I live.

There are perks to a NH summer. I will be crying at you in the winter when I am armpit deep in snow.

Whew! The heat wave finally broke! Highs are back around 80 where they belong. It's kind of a shock to the system to go from a high of 115 to 75 in three days. I almost needed a jacket!

Dejibo, I've never been to NH, tho I hope to some day, I've heard it's beautiful. I would have had to whine right back atcha this past winter tho - we had two feet of snow in one night! This has been the most extreme weather year in living memory around here.

Sign of the apocalypse?
