I have the Motorola Xoom with the Kindle app so I can read ebooks if I so desire, but I like reading paperbacks in bed before I go to sleep so I don't often use the Xoom for that purpose. I get my paperbacks used from Amazon for cheaper than ebooks on the kindle app.

Just ordered another tablet, the Samsung galaxy tab 4G that should arrive tomorrow. My Xoom is dominated by family members so the galaxy tablet will be all mine. :Dancing-Chilli: It will run on Verizon's network, and 4G service will be here in about a month's time so I will be ready.

I got an extra $50 off the galaxy tablet because I ordered a new smart phone for my youngest son. There's a current promo in our area for buying a smart phone and getting $50 off of any tablet on contract so I saved some money with that promo.

My family thinks I'm a tech addict but I always just change the subject. I think Erin is one too, what do you all think? :D

yeah, I'm a tech addict.

I was at WalMart last night, and was looking at all the e-readers they had there. I really want the Nook Color now. Probably wont ever get one tho. I was playing with their Kindle that's on display. It freaked me out to find out their display Kindle is named "Erin's Kindle". (when you buy a Kindle, Amazon gives it a default name, which is usually your first name)

I thought it was interesting that the display Kindle had a working 3g connection to Amazon, and a couple of pages of books that people apparently bought for it while playing around with it. I ended up organizing some of the books into the "collections" (folders) you can make with the Kindle to keep your books organized. I never see anyone showing that feature off. So, I set up a few examples. I should go back and see they're still there.

Last night, I had a little ereader charging party on my desk. I had an ipad, two Kindles, the Kobo and my ipod touch all lined up in a row on my desk, plugged into either my computer or the wall outlet, feeding everyone. They're all happily fully charged this morning.

Amazon probably repossessed Erin's Kindle, after the news got out about your other reader purchases..lol:D:)

Nope, because Amazon is the only site that I actually buy my ebooks from. I just bought a book this morning to read on the treadmill at the gym. (book from the Eureka tv show)

The Kobo will probably only be used for library books, or whatever free books I get from their site. I havent even set up a credit card on the Kobo site yet, but I've downloaded 2 free books from Kobo. I guess they dont need my CC info to download free books.

iTunes wants my credit card info or I cant download any free apps for any of my Apple products. Which is weird, they're free apps. Why do they need my credit card information? I dont keep my credit card info on any of Apple's iTunes stores because I've heard stories about people's iTunes accounts getting hacked. I'm going to start using gift cards for stuff on iTunes instead storing a credit card number on their site.
