Default Alarm Clock???

Do we have an alarm clock on our PCs?

I missed my phone appt with my LDN Doc yesterday, because I lost track of time, playing with you guys, here on my computer.

I have another appt today at 2 pm ET.

Wish I had something here that beeps at me, to remind me of a set time. Is it possible to add an alarm of some kind on our PUTERS?

Will someone please holler at me, when it's 2:00???

I've done that before too, Sally. Makes me so mad.

Do you have a cell phone? That's how I remind myself. I set it for about five minutes before I'm supposed to call.

I'm not sure what kind of computer you're using but just Google the question and it will give you all kinds of answers!

You can test it out by setting it for an earlier time.....like 1:30 PM just so you can see if it works and what the alarm will sound like. I've done that before because I'd already missed one call.............didn't want to risk missing another one.

On my cell phone you have to "unset" the alarm after it's gone off otherwise it will go off everyday at that time. Yours might be different. My cell phone is a little antiquated and doesn't have all the bells and whistles most do.

My last appt with Dr. S was last week and I had my alarm all set.....I was ready to go......and they called me about an hour prior to my scheduled time to see if I'd mind taking an earlier appointment. I didn't mind and found out later that, since I had taken the earlier time slot, he'd only charged me 1/2 of what he normally does for a consultation. Bless him!

HaHa, the same thing just happened to me!! He called me 'cause he had some time earlier.

After the call my cell alarm went off with a bang/rock&roll song, scared me and dog ****less. I jumped, he barked and then we both had to go potty..lol

Thanks, I'll go check to make sure it's not going to do that to us again tomorrow.

Yes you will have an alarm clock Sal, but your computer will also have a calendar which you may find will suit you better than a clock.

I put all my appointments (and birthdays) into my Windows Calendar, and then set the day I want to be reminded. For birthdays I make it a week so I have time to buy and send a card, and for appointments I set it for the day before, and on the day of the appointment I also get a reminder in the morning (or you can set it to a certain hour).

If you'd rather have an alarm clock, go to the help function in your START menu and type in alarm clock. Your computer will then find the link for you. You can find your calendar the same way.

I use MS Works calendar to pop up 30 minutes before my "shot window" opens and it stays up until I dismiss it; I don't set my browser to full screen so can see it easily, but even if it were full screen, it would flash in the task bar until I acknowledge it. been using it since I started shooting (which I haven't since 28 June, but calendar still pops up every other day

didn't know about windows calendar and alarm clock... thanks for the tip, Koala

I had an appt for highlights today at 2pm. My iphone alarm went off at 1:50pm to remind me.

I had just gotten up at 1:15 pm (worked late yesterday and had homework late) so I was just about to have my coffee and in my jammies when the alarm went off.

I scrambled up the stairs, brushed my teeth, dressed, grabbed my coffee and jumped in the car. I was 12 minutes late for my appt.

What I'm trying to say is, you need to set the reminder early enough so you can make the appt on time. Sheesh.
