Smile We Made It Through August!!

We can coast down the hill towards Fall now. I know it's still technically "summer" but September just makes me think of Fall and cooler temps.

Our weather forecast is calling for some rain and cooler temps next week. Lower 80's.....so that's definitely a move int he right direction.

I remember last Winter - and the week of ice and snow we had here in GA. So I'm not sure what to expect this go 'round but I'm so tired of blistering 90 degree heat that the few weeks of cold weather we get here seems manageable. I'll have to dig this thread up in February when it's 5 degrees outside!

Good for you, K!! I have no hope for any relief here until the end of October when the daytime temps will go down to about 85 .

September is my most favorite month even though I know winter is just around the corner which is my least favorite. I'm not heat intolerant yet so probably not as glad to see the summer leave as some of us are thanks to MS.

As I read these posts, I'm reminded again how happy I am to live here! The winters are long, sure, but holy cow, upper 90's? Upper 60's to low 70's in the day, upper 40's to mid-fifties at night.

I love September. I'm going to be really mad someday if I croak in August.

Well we are a little bit cooler today (80's) mostly because of the rain we are getting from the tropical storm in the gulf but, hey, I'll take a few days cooler weather. Here in La. I have had to run the AC at Christmas time. Not much cold weather way down south.

I'm pleased that you all survived the heat.

Our seasons stop and start at different times to those of your own, and yesterday was our first of Spring.

I live in a temperate climate now and am so looking forward to the warmer weather. No humidity problems here, and no unbearably hot days..... just sheer bliss!
