Default Weight Poll

I am curious as to the size of our membership, and I don't mean how many members! I'm assuming there is a way to do this so that the voting is secret?

If you'd care to comment, with or without disclosing your vote, I'd be interested in knowing whether MS has had an affect on your weight, one way or another. Other comments/observations welcome!

I voted "somewhat overweight". But I'm not overweight....I'm underheight! Guess I should be about 6' and I'd be just right. I'm actually 5'7".

Last year I lost about 45 pounds and I've kept it off. I'd love to lose another 10 or 15 but it doesn't seen to be happening. I think the lack of exercise/age/hereditary is working against me.

I'm not unhappy with my weight but I think I'll always feel like I could lose a little.

An interesting observation is that even among health care workers our self-described weight status is often a bit skewed toward the light side.

I am 40 lbs overweight now and I consider that more than a little overweight, but obese is such an ugly word. I checked obese to be honest, but couldn't you have put dbl chubby or something.

I'm about right..5'6" and weigh 152. I could use some exercise to tighten up the tummy though.

I "KNOW" I'm seriously overweight and would classify it as Morbidly Obese, but I'm confused at the difference between Morbidly Obese and Extremely Overweight?

As much as people don't visualize me as much overweight as I am, I need to lose up to 85lbs.. However, I am not able to due to the inability to "workout" and, "GUESS WHAT???" All of the freakin meds that have weight gain as a side effect I have to take. I have taken the initiative and purchased a floor pedal cycle for movement of legs and place on a table for my arms. We'll see if it makes a difference.

"OH HOLY CRAP!" I meant to sign this as anonymous so now you don't know who I am.

I was extremely overweight/obese up until about a year and a half ago. I was having so much GI trouble I went on a special diet - gluten-free, no red meat, etc. I dropped 80 pounds! I still qualify as overweight, both by BMI and percentage body fat, as I am 5'5" and hover around 155. Most of it is around my hips and stretched out belly. If I felt like exercising I could probably get the rest off, but we all know how that goes.

Im like Kelly. IN the last two years I have lost 82 lbs. I am keeping it off. I need to lose 15-20 more but its getting tougher every pound I lose. I hope by Christmas....I am done.

I wish I could REALLY exercise but due to pain I am finding it quite difficult. I have fibro and rsd in my feet and left hip. I am doing a walking routine that equals one mile and its about all I can handle. I really thought losing weight would help with the pain but honestly, it has helped much at all.
