I had a hard week end. My friend had to put her cat down Friday afternoon. I spent hours on the phone listening to her cry and trying to cheer her up. I feel sad for her, sad for her cat, and sad for me and the cat I lost a couple of years ago.

Then, I get to work and my boss calls me. It seems one of the nurses complained to her because he did not like the email I sent him. It does not matter that I did not like the one he sent me first. I told her he was harassing me about doing some work that was not late. I am doing two jobs right now because my coworker had a baby. I am meeting all my deadlines but I am not getting things done early. I told my boss I did not need people to remind me what had to be done. She then proceeded to tell me how to handle a situation with a critically ill patient and told me that I better do it right away before he died. Duh! If he dies I don't need to do it.

Anyway, it doesn't not look like it is going to be an uplifting day and I need one. Someone, please think some good thoughts for me. I hope your day is better.
