Well.. I took the kids trick-or-treating tonight. Like always, we went with the neighbor and her three kids. When my four year old and her seven year old got too cold and tired, she took my six year old and kept going while I took the others home. On the way home there was a cars headlights shining in my eyes, I couldn't see the edge of the asphalt and was trying to hold on to both kids. I stepped right on the edge and my foot rolled off, I took several steps forward trying to catch myself. I went down, right on my knees and the hand my son was holding. He was crying, my knees hurt, but I wouldn't let the kids know. I looked at his pinkie for a while until I was convinced it was okay. Then I got up and walked my neighbors daughter home to her grandma and came home. When I got in the door was when I noticed that I had blood pouring down my legs. My husband got me cleaned up and got some of the asphalt out, there are only a couple pieces left in there. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure I will be HURTING tomorrow. So we all had a blast, the kids got a ton of candy and the only injury was my knees, overall a great night!
I hope everyone had a great Halloween! |

Oh boy, it seem that you took TRICK or treating much too seriously..OR...no good deed goes unpunished.
Feel better, Mommy..

I do have to say, I am proud of my daughter though. When she continued on with my neighbor after I went home, she got candy at every house for her little brother too! So even though he went home early they both got the same amount of candy! |

Sorry you fell (ouch!) but glad you and your kids got some Trick or Treating.
My kids in college now, loved the T or T years in NJ in a crowded neighborhood.

owwww y. sorry you fell. hope you're not too beat up today.
i wore a matching print PJ set to be comfortable. i thought it was kind of relaxed dressing. til i had 5 kids say "why are you wearing pajamas?" and "i like your PJ's". out of the mouth of babes. and they were about 5!

Sorry you had more Trick than treat.
We don't get many kids, 10 or less. I guess they go to the mall. So it was Spookies bday, she is 2. We went to Petco for bday toys, on the way home, I saw about 6 golf carts with kids running to them! Apparently since a lot of houses were dark, the parents came up with this idea. Amazing! The carts are legal in my town.
