Default Wonderful Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I know we did. All the family got along, the grand kids were great. The oldest is 10 and really enjoys helping in the kitchen. Usually my sister and I sit in the family room and visit while the younger ones cook. This year I think we all wanted to be together more so my sis and I stayed in the kitchen more. We had a good meal, it's almost 10 PM and I still don't feel like I need anything else to eat and we ate at 1!!!.

So Happy Thanksgiving as you all sit resting and relaxing thinking what you are going to do with your left overs. Good luck to those who are going to brave the shopping tomorrow.

Thanks for the good wishes, Doydie. My holiday was also wonderful. I am constantly amazed at how much I enjoy being with my husband. It was just him and I. I cooked the whole spread and we ate to our heart's delight. He had a second plate in the evening. I am still full! I hated to have to get back to reality and go to work today. Oh to be retired.

Ours was very nice and very brief. My daughter's family came in and my two grandsons were a pleasure to visit and play with around the house. The only food I could taste was some of the stuffing. We had a great 24 hours together. I crashed as soon as they left and missed my son's call from Chicago.

I do hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. I read a very appropriate quote this morning, "We often take for granted the very things that MOST deserve our gratitude." ~Cynthia Ozick. I believe it's never too late to correct this situation.

Thank you all for listening, reading and sharing throughout the year. I am sincerely grateful for each of you being patient and tolerating me. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.
