Default High tech Black Friday savings

I read this in the Sunday paper.

While you're standing in the checking line at 6:00 a.m. this Friday, you can use your smartPhone to scan your items. At which point you will receive offers from online companies who will be offering equally great (if not better) prices, plus free shipping.

Whadya think about that? (Alas, I have no smartPhone).
