Default Bruno Turny Orbit

Imma get one a dees for my mini van, except this one you have to turn manually and the new one turns automatically. Nifty, huh? Wish I had had one before I ended up in the hospital.

I don't know what the total cost will be yet, but I figure about $5000 installed?

That is really neat!! Wish I'd seen that 6 years ago when we started driving the inlaws around...don't think we'll be driving them around much longer, since FIL is so difficult to get in and out of his WC...

DD talked to the guy who installs them and now is thinking I'm acting impusively and that it is a big expense (about $7500) and wants to make sure I'm sure and it is the best thing for me.. Strange how that Mother/DD thing turns around, huh?

I cried, because, I thought she was as excited about it as I was. Maybe that's before she found how much it cost and how often I would actually use it?

I said I was going to ask God and the Blessed Virgin, to lead me to the right answer. I'll see what they say about it..

I'm kinda down in the dumps now. Just another bad pill to swallow..

So sorry your daughter feels that way. We had a Turny Seat installed in our van two years ago. It has been so great because I'm not helping my Olhipie into the van and causing more pain or problems to my back.

I feel if you can't get into your van this would be very useful. We were able to get the funding from and organization called Options for Independent Living.

I have posted a video of our lift...good luck and hope you can get whatever will help make things easier for you my dear!!

Hi Tami. Thank you for the video. Your seat is a bit different than the bruno seat that Ive been looking at. I actually think yours looks safer and easier. Id like to find a local dealer to discuss it with...

Did they use your existing seat or did you have to replace the seat? How much did it cost? How do you qualify for a bit of financial aid?

Thanks again for your help..

Aw, Sally!!! Sorry about your DD. Funny how our kids can shoot us down like that. You are right, it's parenting reversal when that happens.

However, if you really want it and can get the assistance you need, then go for it. It will not only help you but DD as well when she comes to take you places. You can call the Bruno manufacturer and see if they have someone close by that they recommend to give you a quote on installation.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

We did keep the seat...I'm looking into where and how much. Ours was paid for by a organization called "Options for Independence". I'll get back to you...
