Default RIP- Hits home this time, Col. Potter. dead at 96.

Harry Morgan died at age 96. I am a huge M*A*S*H fan. He was one of my favorite characters.

When my dad owned his advertising agency, I met many stars when they flew in to do commercials. Harry was one of the people who came in and did a whole series of commercials. Every once in a while, my dad let me take off work and hang out on the sets. Harry and I used to play chess- he was a master- and he was always SO cool to me. I gotta try to find pictures of us.

That is one thing about getting older, losing celebrities you really connected with. Rest In Peace Col. Potter. Life well lived.

Yes, Dragnet and Pete & Gladys. I'll never forget the episode of MASH when they (Radar?) surprised him with a horse. I sobbed like a baby. He was one of my favorite actors.

My DH and I were talking about this tonight and Radar giving him the horse was my favorite also. He was such a wonderful guy. I know actors are acting but he made it seem like that was the kind of guy he really was. I can still seeing him riding his horse when the war finally ended and they all had to find transport and he took his horse.

I loved him in Dragnet. He lived a long time. God bless him.

Me, too! I don't know how many times I have watched every single episode of that series. I watched it growing up and then again as an adult. The horse episode was the best, though. When my grandma moved in with me, we watched MASH a lot together, too. That was the third period of time in my life when I watched the show a lot.
