I'm feeling SO much better. I'm even eating a little more and that helps with my strength. It's just going to take a while to recover. The surgery plus the bladder infection was just a double punch to my system.

I don't have the icky tummy feeling today. Just the fatigue. I have to take several naps a day but I'll just do that till my body says it's better.

I do come on to read and keep up with everyone. It's just too exhausting some days to post much. I'll be back soon! Miss and love you all!

No Camomile tea! Makes you sleepy. I love peppermint tea and honey. Ginger ale is also good. Feel good, Kitty.

Appetite is coming back. I've been eating very small amounts several times a day. The things that sound good to me are bizarre. Last night I would have paid good money for a Big Mac. I haven't had one of those in years! Don't know why it sounded so good. Thankfully, the craving has passed.

I've noticed that things taste different to me since having surgery. I wonder if the anesthesia does something to the taste buds? Things I thought would taste really good just don't. I still want cold things like popsicles and fruit.

It's nice to be rid of the queasy tummy feeling, though. I'm going to go take a shower!!

How about a chilled deli chicken sandwich on whole wheat, with lettuce and pickle or a cold lean ham and cheese on rye, with lettuce and sweet rellish. A little cottage cheese, pinapple, mandarin oranges or applesauce on the side.

I like cold things sometimes too. Even in winter..

A few years ago I heard this:

"For the sake of the environment, McDonald's will cease using styrofoam and start using cardboard!"

"That's all well and good, but pretty soon they're going to have to start using real meat!"

Maybe it's the carbs and fat that you are craving. We do need carbs and fat and when our bodies need them, we crave them. So, next time your crave that Big Mac, eat some carbs. A potato is a good healthy carb. It has lots of vitamins and minerals such as potassium and magnesium. I know they got a bad rap, but they are good for you. I eat sweet potatoes mostly. I just love them!!!

I am glad your tummy is feeling better too. That is a good sign. I will keep praying for you.
