Hi tkrik

You are so right! We had a generator blow, and we were out of electric for a couple of hours before christmas. Almost all our neighbors were walking around asking each other if they had power. All of us were like in a daze and quite lost without phone, pcs, laptops, all of it. As we were talking, neighbor meeting further away neighbors, that came into the dicussion. Some people were really angry and stressed, others were laughing at our sudden discomfort. The whole situation showed me just how dependant we have become. I vote for a no technlogy day, but then we wouldn't have each other here on neuro talk. ginnie

Oh Ginnie! What a great point. Whenever the electricity goes out people seem to come out of their homes, offices, etc. I've often marveled at that. Imagine how much more community oriented we would be without some of this technology and electricity.

Technology is a mixed blessing that's for sure! I love it because it allows me to see my husband on Skype even when he's out of state working and this Christmas morning my DS was able to join the rest of the family (on Skype) as we opened presents even though he's stationed in Hawaii! My dad just kept saying "Who would have thought that this would be possible back when I was young"!

on another note, I'm so grateful that all of you are out there and even when I don't say anything I'm still thinking about you.:grouphug:

I wonder why some dogs circle before they do their thing and some don't? (Sorry, but that's what I was thinking about) My neighbor has two dogs; one is a circler and one isn't.

My dog circles the paper then poohs on the floor..:mad:

KarenN 12-29-2011 04:38 PM

I had a dog that would circle and get his back to anyone watching before he would go, I guess he was shy?

Hi sally

I can't help but laugh. Probably as you were typing this I was thinking to myself, "just get the dog outside!" ginnie

Our cat circles before she decides where to sit on DH lap. When she finds it she sits and then puts her head up as if to say 'here I am, rub my neck and maybe I will purr for you'.

You guys are funny!:D I guess I never pondered on animals "bathroom" behaviors.

Gratitude is my random thought for today. I am so thankful for the family that I have and all that they have done for me, especially as of late.

Murphy's Law has taken over my day!!!!!

I shall sit on my sofa and won't move from this spot, unless I really really have to go.:o. All of my PT will be done sitting or laying.
