Default Dang Allergies!!!

Not mine, the Dog's.. He kept me up all night, with the scratching, licking, biting, pacing and whining..

I was just getting back to my old routeen of sleeping till 10/11am. after my sleep torcher, in the hospital..

Guess what med I probably have to get for him? Prednezone!!!! I just gave him a tiny piece of bayer asprin amd hoping that helps till the Vet is in.

He had his grooming yesterday and I swear, he must be allergic to his allergy shampoo? He is back to sleep now, but I'm still up. Not for long...gonna nap till my OT and Nurse get here at 11:30.
Niteynite.......................

Any ideas how to relieve the itchies for a doggy?

Sometimes if they are not rinsed well, the shampoo left makes them itch. Alffe just had this problem following a grooming too:

We just had to treat for fleas. First time in 10 years that the Frontline failed us. Vet said that it was a bad year for fleas and that they were showing a resistance to the meds. Lots of new cases in first timers. bummer....

Try a Benadryl. My Aussie (60#) used to take 100 mg a day. He had spring allergies. He never got spacey or acted drunk. Smaller dog, less amount.

Did your Vet suggest this or did you just do it. I'm afraid my doggy will be allergic to it..

My vet suggested this. Vulfie was 60#, vet said 25 mg Benadryl x 4. How much does your pooch weigh? Could be a food allergy, or something in your house. Carpet, cleaning chemicals? They can react to a lot of stuff like us.
