This post is totally random and pointless however, I was wondering...
DD and I were in the car a few days ago and out of nowhere, she asked me to tell her my favorite word. Two words popped up simultaneously... Door Marshmallow There is something I like about how the word door comes out. Say it a few times and I think you will understand. Without having to think about it a long time, what is your favorite word? |

HHMMMM. I don't know about mine but I do know what my MIL is. When she can't find a word she is trying to think of it is just called 'whatjamadoodle'. Now all of us in the family know that we need to think about what she was talking about and generally we will get what she is talking about. But take her to the doctor or whatever and you just get this blank look.

I'm too...something...to come up with a favorite off the top of my head. The top of my head doesn't work that well. But I know what you mean...a word you just like to say, not necessarily (but could be) because of what it means, but how it feels when you say it. I'm thinking.
They're the words that, when you hear someone on tv say one, you find yourself repeating it out loud, just because you like the sound of it.

Wisteria is thought to be one of the prettiest words in the English Language but it is not one of my favorites.
Nemesis. That's one of them. Aarcyn, door? Really? I'm not feeling it.

This word thing is like love. We're often surprised by the choices of others.

I like the word noodle. That is seriously the first word I thought of and I don't know why!

Thanks a LOT, Aarcyn, for getting my brain in this mode!!! Now I can't stop thinking about words...how difficult it is to separate the denotation and/or connotation of the word from the way it sounds and feels!
Example: I love chocolate and I wouldn't eat a snail on a dare, but the word "escargot" is more fun to say than "chocolate". Soliloquy is another nice word.
