Default Grim Reaper Check in- Whitney Houston dead at 48

It just came across AP. Yep, it's sad but true, she had SO many demons, I pray for her soul, and her family survivors. My wife's favorite movie is the BodyGuard, which means I've seen it hundreds of times. Drugs kill people (NOT saying this was the case, but probably an after effect of years of abuse, normal people don't die at 48.

Just saw it announced on Twitter.

She was 6yrs older than me. I thought she was a lot older than 48.

Thanks Earl, I don't check the news often, so hadn't heard. I hate it when our young talented stars commit involuntary suicide with drugs.

Her cousin was Dionne Warwick, another beautiful voice.

RIP Whitney

Default RE: sad/ Witney

I loved her voice, that makes two in a short period of time Amy Winehouse also died not too long ago as well. Drugs are taking too many peoples lives.
Then Michel Jackson, it seems the list goes on and on all through the decades. I don't understand why people waiste their money and fame and their lives on drugs. If I had money like that, it wouldn't be my choice! Too bad nobody could stop her. I will keep her in my prayers, and I hope all of you do on NT. We lost another beautiful voice. ginnie

Just saw it too. I especially loved her song "And I Will Always Love You". What an awesome voice.

They havent said yet if it was drug related (I wont be surprised if that's the cause tho)

There was a news report from yesterday or the day before that showed pictures of her with blood running down her legs and she had a scratch on one arm. (coming out of a nightclub) and she was looking really disheveled.

I will bet money that it's drug related in some way...either directly from drugs, or something from years and years of drug use.

Going to go look and see if I can find a link to the story I saw earlier with those pictures of the scratch on her arm and blood running down her leg.

I have all of her early CDs, she was one of my favorite singers. This is so sad. I loved her music and then she married Bobby Brown and she started taking drugs. I feel like he corrupted her and her life went downhill. What a loss of a great talent. I feel so bad for her children.
