Default Just for fun

I was reading yahoo.com news and it said 17 shows are being cancelled for next season, and none of them are reality shows. Things like GCB, Harry's Law, Ringer, Secret Circle, Terranova, etc. Instead, they are now bringing in even more reality shows, like Duets, Catalina, etc.

This is not good news to me. I prefer tv shows to reality shows. I do like a few like AR, ANTM, DWTS but thats pretty much about it. My nightly roundup is so messed up now with these cancellations. Anyone else??

There's not a lot of "current" television I watch. Most of it is either too violent, too scary or too suggestive for my taste. I'm glad I don't have young children at home anymore!

I usually watch The History Channel, Food Network, Hallmark or The Animal Planet. National Geographic has some good shows, too. PBS has some good concerts.

TV sure has changed over the years. My boys think I'm fibbing when I tell them about the stations going off the air at midnight!

I agree; our whole family are mostly Cooking Channel, History Channel or HGTV watchers...the only "reality" tv we watch was The Voice (my daughter's sorority sister is Jamar Rodger's sister). Who wants to watch a bunch of people living (staged) life in a house together? We'd rather watch trees grow!

I hate reality shows but I hear that they are cheaper to produce. I think that's partly why we see so many of them.

I like the crime shows, a few of the comedies and a few others.

I love harry's Law There are some reality shows that are not worth blinking you eyes to see. I read tonight where The extended Whitney Houston family is making a reality show and her husband is making another one. That stupid show, Love in the wild is coming back.

"Awake" will be gone, too. I'm disapointed. I really liked that show.

I love to watch America's Funniest Videos (Sunday nights). Sunday nights as a child were spent watching The Wonderful World of Disney. Whatever happened to that show?
