Default Tomorrow will be one year

Mom died a year ago tomorrow. It was so hard at the time but as we look back and know now how sick she was and never told us it helps us heal. I called her old friends and talked to them tonight and told them how much they meant to us because of how much they loved Mom.

What a thoughtful thing to do! Those sad anniversaries...

well it seems like everyone has called everyone today. I have a nephew who I think is around 25. He has had his share of problems with alcohol and drugs but is past that now. he is a Dad of a wonderful little girl. He called Mom all the time because he knew she would not judge him for all that he would do wrong, just show him love and listen. He has not been able to cry and this really bothers him. I told him that I had the same problems with both my sister and my Dad when they died and that the tears will eventually come and he will be stronger for the journey that he takes in learning how to deal with his grief. He has tried journeling but some one found it and made fun of him for it and misconstrewed some of his feelings so he doesn't want to try that again. While talking to me he was so close to tears so many times but they just wouldn't come. He has a really bad relationship with his parents. So I guess I will become Grandma for him. But he is a good guy and come a long way.

It's so difficult when those we love are gone...prayers for you and your family...and it was so kind of you to reach out and thank others...a wonderful way to heal...
