Default Any suggestions for a 2 year old's birthday?

I need to go looking for a gift to send to a 2 year old boy.

Because it has to go by mail, it cannot be too big or too heavy and I am stumped for an idea of what to buy.

This child has brothers so the house is filled with trucks, cars, bikes, balls and soft toys. His daddy and his grandma are teachers so there are plenty of books and heaps of educational toys already in the house.

Everything I can think of is already in the house because some-one gave it to one of his brothers, and it's been handed down for this little boy..... and a 2 year is not interested in clothing.

He deserves to have a gift that's all his own. Any suggestions?

A cap, tee shirt, or socks with a special character or animal that he likes might interest him.

I am not sure if Doug and Melissa have a company that you can order from but they have great toys.

http://www.landofnod.com/all-toys/toys-gifts/1

This website offers International shipping and a really big selection of different types of gifts. Plus, you might be able to have it shipped directly to the birthday boy with a personal note from you. Kids always love getting things in the mail.

At that tender age, anything soft, cuddly and talkative, to hold.

Thank you all.

I rather like the idea of Tickle Me Elmo or any soft and talkative toy. Not sure if I can get Elmo here, but it gives me a good idea of what to go look for.

His birthday is only a week away, so I left it a bit late to have something sent from overseas but thank you anyway for those toy shops. I had a look at them and got some good ideas for Christmas gifts for our grandsons.

I wanted to let you know what I ended up getting.

I bought him a laptop! No.... not an Apple or a Dell, but one he can work on while daddy works on his.

Not really what I had in mind, but it was so cute, and I love Fisher Price toys for kids. Almost every toy that I've bought for our grandchildren have been FP toys. They're safe and they're sturdy, so I'm happy with my choice. Just hope this little boy likes it too.
