Default Stupid Youtube

I'm relatively "new" to internet videos, since I just got high speed a few weeks ago. It's been such fun finally to be able to watch things! But there's something I keep forgetting: people post comments on Youtube videos.

TWICE I've sent someone a link to a song I like and it never even dawned on me to scroll through what was posted for comments. I just sent a friend a link to Alison Krauss's version of "Down to River to Pray"...who'd think that the comments would contain more f-words than you'd want to see in your lifetime!

Now I'm wondering...if I send a link to a Youtube video and check the comments first, there could be more comments added by the time the recipient views it, right? Nuts.

It never ceases to amaze me at what people will post in the comments. I wish there weren't any. But folks who post stuff like what you've described probably don't have too many people willing to listen to them.

I didn't know that....sheesh!! From now on, just e-mail them the link only, that's what I do.

I have recommended a few on FB, but I will sometimes delete the U-Tube Ad....Now since you brought this to my attention, I shall always delete the UT Ad.

There are other places you can watch your favorite tv shows without all the comments. They are free also, and you don't have to put up with nasty comments.

The comments can be disabled by the person that posts the video. More people should probably do that. I agree with you on the reading some of the comments are downright nasty.
