Default Odds and ends

The otehr day gas was down to the $3.70s so my husband decided to gas the minivan up. We don't take Big Blue out much anymore so it had been awhile and it has a large tank. So he is at the gas pump and opens the gas cap lid and there is a wasp nest in it!!!!!! Moral of the story, don't wait to long before filling up your tank.

I was reading stories about the Titanic stuff. Some of the memorabilia was auctioned off. On the menu was 'tongue of castrated rooster'!!!!! For one thing I didn't know they castrated the poor thing and I doubt there is much meat on that poor tongue to eat.

OK, that's the end of my odds and ends

6 years ago, we got a camper trailer to take out on camping trips. it has yet to have its maiden voyage. it sits in the driveway, and this year has a for sale sign on it. Uncovered it the other day for its spring cleaning (dont ya love cleaning something you cant use?) and the cover for the propane tanks has dry rotted from sitting in the sun for years without being used! It just sits out in the driveway taunting me as a reminder of what we cant do.

Moral of the story. Dont hold onto things that you are using or able to take care of. They dry rot from under you and then you still cant use um, and you have to pay for repairs. It would have been better if I had agreed to sell this years ago so some family would have loved it to pieces rather than it rotting. Time for the beds to be slept in, the sink to be used, the couch to be sat upon, and a family to giggle and enjoy this thing.

I go to this Eagle nest Cam everyday, where I watched 3 eaglets hatch and am now watching them grow and waiting for them to fly. They are so darm cute.

I had been wondering where those little ones pooh, so as not to sit in it, when yesterday one of them was especially fussy, pecked at his sibling and then projectile poohed out to the edge of the nest. He/she then curled up and went to sleep.

How'd I do for odds and ends?
