Default Popcorn

My husband loves to find bargains so he buys the Pops right brand of popcorn. 24 bags for $250 or something like that. I was OK with it until my neuro convinced me to try kettle corn. The only one I could find was Orville Redenbacher. I am in love with it. But I ran out of it and we were eating out and Schnucks was right across the street. They didn't have any except the Schnucks brand. I'm glad it was only a 3 pack. So I ate those three bags and got to Walmart to get my regular. I can't believe the difference in the taste and quality. The Schnucks brand had so many hull and the popcorn itself was just bad. So now I am happy and DH knows what he must get to make me happy.

If Momma ain't happy, nobodies happy!

Every time I ate kettle corn I would get a blistering headache and couldnt figure it out till someone pointed out the artificial sugar in it. UGH! I love that stuff, and want some!

Im cheap. I take regular pop corn, put it into a brown paper lunch bag, fold it over, and pop it like a store bought back at 5% of the price of those fancy name brands without any of the chemicals they add in there.

aww, now I want kettle corn....

I do that, too, Dej!! It's so much less expensive. I like the Kettle Corn, too, though. I'll get it sometimes....as a treat.....but I always go back to my "homemade" kind. I'll get the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray and spritz it with that while it's still warm. YUM!!

Kettle corn is great and you can make your own. Haven't tried this but I bet it's good.

I can't eat much popcorn, doggone it--my tummy thinks it's corn. We're too lazy to do homemade, but we get the microwave kind when it's on sale only. The best popcorn I ever had was some kettle corn I got at the fair in Tunbridge once. I cringe to think how many calories and fat!!

I have an old hot air popper that I got years ago with green stamps, must have been at least 35 years ago. It still works and I make a big bowl, put some warm EV olive oil in and salt. Yum!
