I am glad to have HBO/Showtime/Cinemax...I hate normal TV now. its all blood, guts, murder, crime shows, who dunnits, or reality TV. I dont care who is dancing with who, I dont care who is stuck on an island, I dont care which bachelor has been sequestered into a house with 12 bathing beauties who are so skinny, and so mean that you could start a fire by rubbing their twig legs together.

We have hundreds of channels and NOTHING good is on!

Awake is gone also? The plot the other night was kind of leaning towards him ending his two different lives. The boy from Awake was on Law and Order SVU the other night.

I love my reality shows but I'd die without my admitted scripted shows. I have over 250+ stations and I find myself watching reruns of the Golden Girls. The only reality show I DVR is ANTM. I find myself watching more shows on National Geographic and Hallmark channels. Whatever happened to nighttime soaps like Dynasty? I don't mind reality tv but I prefer openly scripted shows.

ok, silly, I know, but last night was "animation domination" on FOX. The simpsons, bobs burgers, family guy, american dad. mindless, fun. PG13 stuff, funny humor and silly antics that actually made me giggle. One girl was forced by another more popular girl to go to put on make up in the bathroom to make them more smexy! and when they came out, a boy shouted "AH! Bathroom Clowns!" so it made me giggle to think of what boys call girls when they come out all dolled up from the potty. lol.

I do like Game of Thrones, but had to turn it as it got quite bloody last night. I changed a few commercials because they too were gory and blood soaked.

Is it an MS thing? I didnt used to flinch an eye lash as real blood before MS, and now I cant stand to see even the animated stuff. eeeek!

Some of the new animated stuff shocks me. I guess I'm comparing it to what I remember as a child (and even a teenager!). I know, I'm showing my age here. But some of that stuff (South Park, Family Guy) I would not want my young children watching. The humor is geared towards adults......but, unfortunately, the younger kids probably "get it", too.

*** I have to admit, tho, that Stewey cracks me up sometimes. ***

Ya know Kitty, Im the same way. I also never watched Family Guy, Simpsons, none of that. My son(who was 16 at the time) actually got me to watch Family Guy with him. He's like ma, come on give it a chance. So I did, but only if he was watching with me. To tell the truth, I will only watch it if he's with me. Since he no longer lives with me, I no longer watch it. I did crack up with Stewey also!!

Wiz is right...reality shows are VERY inexpensive to produce. Who needs writers when you just tape a bunch of goons and losers saying and doing stupid stuff?
Survivor is the only reality show that has quality production, IMO.

We really like "Person of Interest" as the best new show this year...although my heart races and sometimes I have to play a game on my phone to keep my blood pressure down

DH and I watch that spin off of Grey's Anatomy (can't remember the name). A bunch of Malibu doctors that jump in and out of one another's beds so fast it makes your head spin. Almost ridiculous story lines, but it's like driving by an accident-you just can't help but slow down and watch...

Debbie,

I also like "Person of Interest" and "Criminal Minds" too. I like those kinds of shows and I try to look away in time for the blood and guts. They have very interesting story lines. I also like "The Office" and a few of the other comedies. Letterman is great for late night TV too. He's such a ham.
