Go out and get your free or discounted donuts what you can. It is an awesome holiday that we have in this country not quite as good as Christmas but almost happy national doughnut Day

What's your favorite donut? I love them all, but my favorite are the Hostess mini chocolate covered donuts.

I think Krispy Kreme is his favorite although I don't think he has them often. He's too much into fitness and eating well.....you know, all that stuff that young folks are into! I say eat dessert first!!

went to the store tonight to get some stuff for my parents. Was walking past the Hostess shelf (Ho-Ho's, Twinkies...that kind of stuff) and saw they had glazed mini crullers. Remembered it was doughnut Day, so I grabbed a bag...along with a box of Ho-Ho's. (went shopping hungry, got a bunch of other stuff that's bad for me too)

Told my mom I HAD to have the mini crullers because it was doughnut day. She was like, "well alright then..."

I didn't know about doughnut day, but I have to tell you all what DH did to the grands.

He had a handful of Cherrios on the counter, when the boys came over he told them they were doughnut seeds. Took them out in the yard and "planted" them. Told them the seed would grow into a tree by the next time they came over. Weeks passed, the kids were coming. DH gets a tree branch stuck in the ground, and hangs some doughnuts on it.
Well!!!! That was a hit!!!!! DH and the boys did it again, and again we had a doughnut tree in our yard. The oldest now wants to plant some chocolate doughnut seeds. He's 7 today.
